compliance – noun
- the act of conforming, acquiescing, or yielding.
- a tendency to yield readily to others, esp. in a weak and subservient way.
- conformity; accordance: in compliance with orders.
- cooperation or obedience: Compliance with the law is expected of all.
HANDS UP TO COMPLIANCE
As the definition above states “Compliance with the law is expected of all”. However knowing you have to comply, and actually knowing what to comply with are two very different things indeed.In that case what is compliance then? If you Google “compliance” 99 million hits come up (really!), with most of them related to the financial services industry. Any financial advisor will tell you that their industry has the highest and most complex level of compliance you can find.
